Mark is the founder and chairman of IMTF. He studied Aeronautical Engineering at the ETH (Federal Institute of Technology, Zürich) and has an MBA from IMD. He started his career in Management Consulting, led and transformed a large machine tool company into an integrated provider of Hard- and Software Solutions before founding IMTF 37 years ago. He successfully built up and managed his company to become a market leader in the fight against fraud and financial crime. IMTF Regtech platform provides Anti-financial Crime, Compliance and Client Lifecycle Management Solutions in Switzerland and in over 50 countries worldwide. Mark has proven over the years his strong capabilities to discover market needs and to develop such ideas into successful products.
Karl started his career at IBM. He was the founder of the IBM ClinWare Solution Unit, one of the first EDC systems for clinical trials in the mid-nineties. Between 1998 and 2001 he worked at Novartis as Chief Information Officer. His career continued at Credit Suisse, where he assumed several senior leadership positions in IT. He became CIO of the Group in 2008 and was a Member of the Executive Board until 2012. In 2012 and 2013 Karl advised the Chairman of Credit Suisse in setting up an innovation program for the firm. After retiring from Credit Suisse in March 2013 Karl focused on a portfolio of investments in start-up companies, continues to advise Senior Leaders, and is a Non-Executive director in technology companies. In 2015 Karl has taken on the role of CEO of eClinicalHealth, where he defines and manages the direction of the company as well as leading key client engagements.
Michael is an industry expert and C-level executive with over 25 years of experience in high tech and finance services. In his prior engagements, Michael served as Client Service Delivery Officer and Member of the Group Executive Board of Avaloq. He has also delivered next generation technology solutions in different areas across wealth management, asset management and investment banking as the accountable CIO at Credit Suisse. He has led global teams (>1000 FTE) as well as large scale strategic change programs with significant business impact. Michael believes in the power of innovation, he is an active serial investor in high tech start-ups and serves as board member for two companies. Talent development and diversity are very close to Michael’s heart. He is chairing a number of initiatives to attract the best people and to ensure that they can develop and operate with impact.
Gion-Andri joined IMTF in 2018 from McKinsey, where he acquired extensive experience focusing on digital transformations of financial institutions and strategic topics. Previous experiences include founding a startup and working at Google, which allowed him to understand Tech Product development on a global scale – learnings which translate perfectly into the fast-growing environment at IMTF. Gion-Andri holds a MSc from ETH (Federal Institute of Technology, Zürich) and an MBA from Columbia University. He was appointed CEO of IMTF in 2021, thereby formalising the generation change initiated 3 years ago and ensuring the continuity of IMTF’s values and leadership.
